Matthew & Olivia is indie-pop from Boston songwriting tornado Joe Pleiman. We could write a book about Joe, but for this purpose we will keep it to a list of facts.
o Grew up in Kensington, Maryland -the city that banned Santa from the Christmas tree lighting one year.
o Former NYU film school nerd.
o Writes music on occasion for Sesame Street.
o Created the internet favorite "Zelda Song", frequently misattributed to System of a Down.
o Currently works as a sound designer on Adult Swim's Assy McGee, and other animated programs.
Matthew & Olivia Matthew & Olivia, the Fall Leaves' second effort, embodies a wide array of influences, from the unavoidable imprint of the Beatles, the Kinks, and the Beach Boys, to more contemporary music like Wilco, Camper Van Beethoven, the Kingsbury Manx, and Ass Ponys. The album's expansive rock format exhibits captivating lyrics with addictive vocal and guitar melodies that are persistent and memorable.
